Togbe Afede XIV is the founder of the SAS Group of companies and provides overall strategic direction to the businesses. He has over 16 years of experience in investment banking, co-founding Databank Financial Services Ltd in 1990. Togbe has played a critical role in the development of Ghana’s capital markets, including developing and publishing the first ever stock market indices in 1991.

His contributions to the development of the bond market in Ghana include initiating and leading the design and placement of the SSNIT Educational Notes in 2000, the first of its kind. Togbe also started a national debate in 2003 on the interest rate policy which resulted in better alignment of Bank of Ghana’s inflation expectations and interest rates, and the subsequent lowering of interest rates and establishment of a normal yield curve.

He was appointed by the President to the board of the Bank of Ghana in recognition of his contributions, and also serves on the boards of Aluworks Limited, Pioneer Kitchenware Ltd, Navigator Communications & Technology Ltd and Sunon Asogli Power Ghana Ltd, among others. He holds an MBA from Yale University, New Haven, USA and a B.Sc. from the University of Ghana Business School.

Ken has extensive experience in investment operations, financial systems integration and management. Ken served as Finance and Administration manager with Frontline Capital and as Financial Systems Consultant for Africa.com all in the U.S.A.. Prior to that, Ken served as Operations Manager for Sloan Financial Group from 1993 to 2002.

His key competencies include International Portfolio Accounting and Administration, Performance Measurement and Analysis, Client Communication and System Integration and Conversion. Ken received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Ghana in 1986 and an MBA from North Carolina Central University in 1997. He completed a Certification course in Oracle 2000 (Developer/PL/SQL) from North Carolina State University in 2000.

Edem’s research and financial experience was derived from working as a financial specialist with Fidelity Investments (U.S.A).

In his recently past capacity as an equity compensation administrator with Fidelity, Edem administered equity compensation plans for several renowned supranational companies including Microsoft, Bank of America, Verizon Communications, Starbux Corporation, Shell, Unilever and Walgreen, to mention a few. Edem has an MBA with a concentration in investments and is currently a level 2 CFA candidate. (Chartered Financial Analyst).

Charles worked extensively in the United States (US) Securities Industry, from 1994 to 2001 as a licensed securities representative. During this period, Charles gained a lot of experience marketing and placing a vast array of investment securities with individuals and institutional clients. He studied for the Bachelor of Science Degree concurrently with the Diploma of Education from Cape Coast University from 1983 to 1987. Charles subsequently studied for an MBA Business Administration from Colorado State University from 1992 to 1994.
